Meeting of Prominent Georgian Judoka with students of GAST

Olympic, European and World Champion – prominent Georgian judoka Lasha Shavdatuashvili visited Georgian-American School of Tbilisi to share his personal success story and talk about importance of sports with our students. Shavdatuashvili is the only Georgian three-time Olympic medalist (-73kg) and the winner of four grand slams. Organizing similar meetings with famous sportsmen and sportswomen is important, as it aims to motivate students and promote sports.

Before meeting with the students the prominent guest together with the founder of the school Levan Gogia took part in the opening ceremony of a new outdoor stadium at GAST.

In GAST besides providing quality education we focus on promoting lifestyle by incorporating healthy eating habits and physical activity. Moreover, in our school it’s mandatory for a student to choose one sports club which is included in the tuition. Currently the following sports activities are available:
