About us

Georgian-American School of Tbilisi was founded in 2023. Currently, the school has a rolling admission for the grades 1 through 9.

Purpose

Our mission is to educate students based on liberal-democratic values to raise them as free and free-thinking individuals with a strong sense of civic awareness,  cultural values, and with understanding of their rights and duties towards family, society, the state, and the environment.

Learning and teaching process

In addition to the programs provided by the national curriculum, we offer students an enhanced learning of mathematics, English, digital, and computer literacy.

Teaching the English Language

Modern high-quality teaching resources and technologies  are incorporated in the classroom for teaching English language. Teaching and learning process focuses on the development of students’ communication skills, which will contribute to building their confidence in speaking English, as well as enhancing  their skills in listening, reading, and writing.

Starting from grade 3 a new subject Science is aligned to the  curriculum. English speaking environment in school will enable our senior high school students to be equipped with the knowledge and skills to pass the following international exams – IELTS, TOEFL, and SAT.

Gradually the School plans to intriduce international programs to help our students to continue their studies abroad.

Teaching technology

As we aim to prepare our students for the rapid technological changes to come in their lifetime our students have the opportunity to join robotics, programming, and 3D design clubs. The school  actively uses technology in the administration of the educational process.

One of the top information technology centers in Georgia, Mziuri ,with a 35-year history of success guides teaching of programming to our students within the framework of clubs in the areas such as Python, C++, and algorithms; web programming; programming of computer games; C#; JAVA, and others.

In addition to high-quality education we offer a variety of clubs that provide a multitude of extracurricular-cognitive and sport activities tailored to individual interests of students.

Environment

The school campus is located in recreational area covering 4,500 square meters of land on the Airport Highway.  Educational buildings with an area of 2700 square meters includes school auditoriums, science and computer laboratories, a library, sports infrastructure, an information center, and a dormitory.

Our security service 24/7 provides safe and secure environment for our students to make the most of their learning experience.  The campus is equipped with surveillance cameras; access to the school territory is allowed only with electronic wristbands through a high-tech turnstiles; the building is equipped with modern fire safety systems.

    The Georgian-American School of Tbilisi started functioning in September 2023.
    A campus built in compliance with international standards includes state of the art auditoriums, laboratories, a library, a cafeteria, a gymnasium, and a dormitory.

  • How much does it cost to study at the Georgian-American School of Tbilisi?

    The tuition at the Georgian-American School of Tbilisi is GEL 9500 for the academic year of 2025-2026.
    The fee covers:
    Educational courses provided by the national curriculum;

    Extracurricular cognitive-educational programs in the format of clubs, numbering up to 20 and covering diverse interests of students.
    Meals:
    Grades I-III – 2 meals a day;
    From grade IV – a meal per day;

    School uniforms;

    GEL 1500 is paid within 10 working days after signing the contract with the school. The remaining fee is paid in 2 installments:

    50% – until September 1;
    50% – until January 1.

  • How many students will study in a class?

    At the Georgian-American School of Tbilisi, we establish an individual and student-oriented approach to teaching, which requires small class groups. The maximum number of students in a classroom does not exceed 18.

  • Are there any types of discounts available?

    Yes, the discount system applies to siblings and amounts to 10% of the tuition fee per child. Also, in case of prepaid full installment 5% discount is available.

  • Does the school provide transportation for students?

    Yes, the school cooperates with a transport company, which will contact you 2 weeks before the commencement of studies. You will be able to sign a contract with it for the mentioned service upon your desire.

  • What are the procedures for admission to the school?

    For a child to be accepted, the parent (or a responsible person) needs to go through preliminary registration, after which the school will contact you and make an appointment at your convenience. After you receive a detailed information from the school representative about the contract conditions and other issues of interest to you, a contract with the school will be signed upon your consent.
